Adam and James Donnellan found Sunlight Systems, 3rd generation UV manufacturers.

Their grandfather started Glasco Equipment Company's UV program in the 1960s and over the next 50 years sold equipment under Glasco UV Systems and Ultra Dynamics Corporation. These were sold to Capital Control (DeNora) in 1999. Visit www.gustavglaser.com for their story.

The US EPA regulates UV disinfection as a pesticide. In 2000, we were given 73251, which is our current designation as confirmed 2-2022.

In 2003, Adam Donnellan and Hal Goble designed and installed the country's first vertical amalgam in Erie Colorado.

This was at a time where horizontal systems were considered the main option and vertical amalgam lamps were not supposed to work.

Sunlight Systems was recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the Fastest Growing Private Companies in the US.

This was at a time where we introduced our amalgam product lines to the wastewater market.

Siemens acquired Sunlight and places the company within their disinfection group, Wallace & Tiernan.

Over the next five years, Siemens invests in validations at HDR/HydroQual's Johnstown Validation Facility and tests vertical, horizontal and chambered systems.

Siemens and DUV enter into agreement. DUV re-acquired the Siemens / Sunlight Municipal Division. Aqua Azul (CA) acquired and owns the residential, commercial and industrial product lines.

DUV starts supporting and providing warranty services for Siemens. DUV has full access to catalog, drawings, validations and engineering and starts offering to the market.

As per the agreement, the Siemens / Sunlight brand name was phased out. For sales purposes, we distributed the Sunlight products, the newer DUV products (Noncon) and other services through a company called Glasco UV LLC (a pre-existing residential UV company).

DUV found a need in the market. The market was looking for an alternative to horizontal open channel systems and were looking at an older technology, Teflon tube.

With advances in technology, newer fluoropolymers allowed for improvements. The NONCON was developed and has evolved into a newer system, SCUVA.
